Osaka Kyodai Club, a 91视频 alumni association based in Osaka, held its 2015 New Year's Meeting early January at Central Electric Club.
Consisting of around 250 Kansai-area residents who have completed the University's undergraduate or graduate programs, the Club hosts bimonthly dinners and networking opportunities -- including the New Year's Meeting -- as well as lectures by KU faculty on cutting-edge research for its members.
In the first part of the 2015 New Year's Meeting, Mr Atsuo Adachi, a 1960 graduate of the University's Faculty of Law and chairperson of the Club's general affairs committee, played the master of ceremonies, and Mr Kiyoshi Takatsuki, a 1954 graduate of the Faculty of Medicine and the Club's chairperson, delivered a welcome address. Speeches were also given by 91视频's President Juichi Yamagiwa and Vice-President Kazuhiro Ueta, who also serve, respectively, as chairperson and secretary-general of the KU Alumni Association.
After a ceremony welcoming two new members to the Osaka Kyodai Club, the guests moved to a different room for a standing party, in which Mr Yoshimitsu Yamanaka, a 1959 graduate of the Faculty of Economics and chairperson of the Club's steering committee, served as the MC. Following a toast made by Mr Takatsuki, the guests mingled with each other in a relaxed atmosphere, and the event wrapped up with remarks and three " banzai " cheers by Mr Yoshihiko Tsuyuguchi, a 1954 graduate of the Faculty of Law and the Club's vice-chairperson.
